Hunting 2015: Nelson Bighorn Sheep

Posted on November 24, 2015

La Madre Mountain

This is a 167″ Nelson Bighorn sheep taken about 10 miles Northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada off La Madre Mountain. 168″ makes Boone and Crockett so this Bighorn is just short. This is considered one of the hardest tags to obtain in North America. It took me 25 years to draw.

The shot was taken at 824 yards using my Desert Tech SRS A-1 in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a Brevis II Ultra Suppressor.
