Like Minded Individuals…

Awhile back we came together because of long range precision rifle shooting. We started off shooting together in the desert working to develop our skills. We would welcome new shooters and anyone else interested in participating in this discipline. We would offer help and work to get others out rifle shooting!

As we got better we began upgrading our equipment as participating in Kurt Stone’s Precision Tactical Match at Desert Sportsman Rifle and Pistol Club. Shooting his match was very humbling and opened our eyes to what we needed to work on to be competitive. The local Las Vegas match is filled with very talented marksmen from throughout the southwest. Participating really sped up our learning curve.

Later we found it difficult to develop ourselves while shooting in a group with shooters of varying skill levels, experience and equipment. We branched off from the crowd and began teaming up with other serious shooters and close friends. We practice different techniques to further our abilities behind a precision rifle.

The next step for us was purchasing a lathe so that we could do own precision rifle work. Dane and Joe worked hard to learn how to operate the lathe. They were fortunate to receive help from machinist and rifle builders within the shooting community. It didn’t take long and they built themselves rifles that shot excellent. This was a big achievement for the team members of Sin City Precision because it allows them to maintain their precision rifles.
